FOUNDED IN FEBRUARY 2018, WE HAVE SUPPORTED DOZENS OF WRITERS WITH 100S OF SCRIPTS
WDHTBL was established with the aim of allowing writers to hear their work performed aloud at an early stage. Whether this was something they had written that week, or had been gathering dust in a drawer for a year or more, we wanted to build a platform for writers to hear their work to give them a better idea or how they might develop their piece moving forwards. Over the past 6 years we have heard hundreds of scripts from dozens of writers. Some of these have gone onto professional productions including Berts House. Thanks to funding from Arts Council England in Autumn 2024, we managed to commision 24 writers to produce new work which was shared with audiences over a 4 month period. March 12th will see 5 brand new scripts from Sarah Cotton, Benji Dotan, Andrew Williams, Salli Belsham and Rob Marriot. All performed by a great team of actors.
